Peachpaw
Curiosity killed the cat, but satisfaction brought it back.
In all honesty, Peachpaw was shocked to see the Windclan cats begin to stand up and walk to Mushroombelly before firmly settling down next to him. Had they not been paying attention to what the tom had done straight after shoving himself into their camp? Had they no decency to stand up for cats who had been wronged, who had been beaten down by this strange tom?
Peachpaws face revealed her inner turmoil as clear as day. Shock, mixed with the fires of her anger, and even deeper in her blue eyes was her raw feelings of disappointment. Not one cat, not even her sister Fawnstep, had stood with her to deny this seemingly moralless cat a path to power. She found it disgusting, but... she was outnumbered.
Peachpaw had lost the fight. Mushroombelly won by a landslide.
Letting out a long, drawn-out sigh, Peachpaw felt her posture shift to one of defeat. Her shoulders slumped as the tension faded from her muscles. She shot Mushroombelly a look, one that clearly read she didn't fully trust him, but she nodded. "I can admit when I've been beaten," the molly meowed truthfully, sounding rather exhausted all of a sudden. "I will follow your orders for now, Mushroomstar, but I've got my eye on you. Any foul play will not go unnoticed with me." Flicking her tail dismissively, Peachpaw settled back onto her haunches and quietly allowed the meeting to continue unopposed.
Peachpaw nodded along with Bluepaw, ignoring the curiosity that burned inside her belly to ask just who the she-cat was and when she had arrived. She couldn't remember seeing the blue-furred feline before, but it appeared they were all in this together.
"If there are still cats alive out there then it is our duty to help them. After all, it's the moral thing to do." Peachpaw meowed cooly as she flicked her gaze between Fawnstep and Mushroombelly. "Boundaries should not divide us when the forest around us is dying. These Shadowclanners have families of their own, and for us to sit by and do nothing while mothers and children die... it would be an unforgivable act of selfishness."
