Inhale Courage, Exhale Fear
Plot rp- Open!
Night had come and gone a pawful of times since the Clan cats had started their journey. In fact, a full week had passed since they originally left their familiar homes and began traveling south and through the mountain range. Although the beginning had found the two clans clashing with each other, the tension only heightened when a few unruly rogues decided to cause a scene, the two leaders Fallenstar and Mushroomstar were eventually able to calm their clans and regroup their cats to continue forward. The first few nights were spent sleeping out in the open snow, much to the everyone's distaste. They simply hadn't been able to find proper shelter within the sea of trees they now traversed. Things started to look up for the clan cats when, at the end of day four, the cats finally breached the forest and stumbled upon a wide barley field. Located in a corner closer to the trees was a worn down twoleg barn, big enough to fit the remainders of the surviving clans inside. Here they would camp for three whole days, allowing every cat to feast on the fat mice that lived within the wooden walls. Of course, each cat knew that they couldn't stay in the twoleg shelter forever. They were born to be wild and free, not to mention the food supply they had been living on was beginning to dwindle to only a pile large enough to feed the surviving queens. Day seven found the cats leaving their temporary shelter before dawn, allowing for an undisturbed retreat through the fields and into the trees on the other side. Feeling stronger and with more energy than you've had since leaf-bare started, you feel as though you could take on whatever this world has to throw at you! Even with the promise of a long journey ahead of you, it's almost as if the snow that surrounds your paws isn't quite as heavy as it used to be. Remember to stay alert, Clan cats, for the blizzard raging above you has yet to break. Who knows what might be lurking behind a veil of snow. ulla

It's a new dawn, it's a new day, it's a new life And I'm feelin' Good... Dark gray and silver streaked through the white snow as a pink nose sniffed the stiff, chilly air. Where were the cats? The bobtail tom couldn't seem to pick up any scent of felines like himself. Maybe the group wasn't as big as he thought? His green eyes blinked in confusion for a moment when a strange smell hit his nostrils. It was definitely cats, but it had a weird tang to it; different than the cats in the city. It smelled like the forest and other mammals like mice and rabbits. Ash's eyes narrowed as he smelled the air again, deciding that he would follow the trail. Letting his cockiness get the best of him, the rogue strut through the snow, not giving a single damn about what could happen to him.
Ash followed his nose as it led him to an old and nearly collapsed barn, where the scent was strongest. He wandered around for awhile, realizing that the mice that should've been there were completely gone... all that was left of them were some carcasses. Still being led by his arrogance, the gray tom padded out of the barn, ignoring his growling stomach.
The lone feline eventually heard noises, and he slightly tensed. He didn't even consider it to be anything other than the group of cats that he had been searching for. Ash quickened his pace and found himself standing at the back of a large but quite small group of his own kind. He had found them! Finally! He was beginning to think all his hard work wasn't going to pay off, and that would not go well with his ego.
He tried to stay low-key, but he found the task to be extremely hard. He couldn't help but wonder which cat would notice him first; which cat he could catch the attention of. Ash willingly let his eyes wander to all the she-cats, trying to figure out which ones weren't taken. He had to admit, there were some pretty females in this crowd. One thing that Ash did see was that no one in this group was showing their exhaustion. They all looked alive.
The rogue's green orbs darted from side to side, attempting to catch any other cat's gaze. How had no one noticed him yet? Wasn't he irresistible? Or was he losing his touch? 392 words ✿ EDEL ✿

death doesn't discriminate
Fern had still managed to stay under the radar, not letting Bluepaw see her. The peachy-femme wanted to make Bluepaw quiver when she finally confronted her. Confronted her for killing Fern’s two brothers, Bluepaw’s adopted siblings. The thicky-built feminine felt nothing but hatred for her adoptive sister. However Fern loved the clans and was going to take this nice and slow, so Bluepaw ended up a rogue and Fern took her place in the clans. She had been scanning the crowd with her bright green eyes when she noticed a darkly pelted tom just standing there, standing like he was expecting a round of applause. She had followed his gaze and noticed him staring explicitly at the females. Oh she would love to see one of these clan-cats whoop his sorry ass but he could be helpful. An ally, perhaps?
She had never been sensual, or having that come and pounce on me vibe, so she didn’t even try to act like that. Fern never acted, unlike Bluepaw, she was truthful in the way she acted even if her words weren’t. The broad-shoulder femme stalked over to the outsider, looking him up and down. He seemed like the type of prick to get all twisted in a knot – or angry – when someone insulted his looks.
”And what is a ruffled tom covered in dust doing around the clans, hmm?” she leaned forward to peer at his fur ”Not dust? A pity, I’m sorry for you” Her eyes glowed with a spark, her large fluffy paws casually shaking the snow from in-between them. She wasn’t being threatening, yet she seemed threating. A trick she had learnt from her time as a rogue.
”But seriously, why are you here?”

| Is it better to be feared or respected is it too much to ask for both? |
The dark tabby prowled and lurked at the back of the group, glancing only once or twice at the clan cats. They had hardly accepted the rogues into the group, but neither did they try and squabble or provoke. Everyone knew how harsh this winter had been.
His half blind gaze turned on the motion of others far from the group, the small female and another. How particular. He nodded his head curtly to DeNiro next to him, and wound his way around so he was close but not scented; the wind was on his side.
His mouth opened, breathing in the two scents like fresh meat, eyes glistening. They could be interesting. He noted the male's tendency to look about, watching and waiting to be noticed much like a child after an incident.
The she cat on the other hand was sly and threatening, with hidden rage and anger. Oh how he'd loved to know about that. He slunk in aside the tom, shoving Ash between himself and Fern.
"Yes, young kitty, why do you stray so far from your home? No she-cats warming your nest?"
Direstrait spoke, his voice low and rumbling. His jaws snapped shut at the end, black teeth bared close to the other tom's muzzle.
His eyes glanced past Ash to look at Fern; a cruel and demanding look requiring her to stay and well, play along. Potential ally or not, he would scope out this young cat before he had any chance to ruin his and DeNiro's scheme, however thin it may be.

--Mushroomstar missed the barn they had stopped in for a little bit. It was nice to have something to stop the wind from blowing into his thick fur. Sure he wasn't as cold as most cats, but he still didn't like having his nose get icicles on it. He trudged through the snow some more leading both clans forward. It was easy to see he was trying to lead both through this and not share the glory of the journey with Fallenstar. Mushroomstar couldn't help but feel greedy to both clans. One he was born and raised in the other he built with his own two paws.
Though the peace of the walk was easily disturbed when Mushroomstar could see a familiar red and black pelt coming towards him. Mushroomstar tried to speed up so Hollowdusk would maybe give up, but the tom knew it wouldn't work. When Hollowdusk had something in mind he wasn't going to give it up. Mushroomstar gritted his teeth when glancing at the taller more muscles, and pretty much over all better than him tom. Hollowdusk didn't even look like he was fazed by the cold despite being short furred. Damn Hollowdusk, probably all his days of literally standing in the rain to endure it. -- --Hollowdusk was getting tired of this endless journey, this endless snow. For all they knew Mushroombelly, yes belly. Hollowdusk didn't believe he was a leader again. While Hollowdusk didn't have the strongest beliefs in his ancestors he did believe they wouldn't appoint his half brother again after his previous failure. Hollowdusk also knew Mushroombelly more than most cats, even if the two hadn't been as close as before. That tom still acted the exact same way, he was predictable. In a way it was saddening how even now he hadn't changed. After how Hollowdusk beat him into submission the tom still didn't get it. He needed to stop and go back to where he belonged. A warrior that was apart of the family. Not a greedy bastard who didn't even talk or visit his family. Selfish was exactly what Mushroombelly was, he had always been selfish. At a young age he showed this, like when he stole another apprentice's piece of prey to try to complete his warrior assignment. If Hollowdusk hadn't been there to see him do it the male might've gotten away with cheating.
It was Hollowdusk's duty to protect his clan and his family. Personally he couldn't trust Mushroombelly to achieve that. Even if Hollowdusk had never been a high rank it didn't stop him from taking charge when needed. He was a proud fine warrior of shadowclan, well respected too. He earned it all, while Mushroombelly earned nothing himself. Nothing except pity. The tall Siamese point oriental cat came forward away from his clan towards Mushroombelly. He heard small chirps of Heronwatcher asking where he was going, but the male said nothing other than for her to lead the family for a few minutes. Soon enough he could see the anger in his half-brother's eye as he spotted him coming up. Typical,
Hollowdusk gave a stern meow "Mushroombelly." there was a sudden loud hiss "MushroomSTAR" Hollowdusk then meowed in a more stern voice "No. That is not your title. You are Mushroombelly." He could see the rage boiling up in the fat tom's icy blue eyes, only held back by the fact he was in front of many, many cats. Hollowdusk continued "I have high doubt you would become a leader again after your failure. And as a concerned member of my clan, and our family, I think you should let Fallenstar lead instead of you. Fallenstar has been out of the territories before. Where ever you are taking us its only getting deeper in snow. You are not leading us to safety but death. You don't know where you are going." Mushroombelly looked furious at the male-- --Mushroomstar hissed loudly at his half-brother snapping a bit "I am Mushroomstar and you will CERTAINLY address me as such Hollowdusk! I don't give a damn if you doubt it or not, it is not your place! Go scurry back to your three legged wife and freak son! I don't give a rat's ass if Fallenstar was a rogue before, I'm leading everyone out of here!" He bared his fangs at his half brother who didn't even flinch. He then meowed his fangs still bared "You think you know what to do don't you? Hollowdusk always knows what to do isn't that how you think? How practically everyone in the family thinks! Everyone always looking up to you like an idol! Like you are so perfect! You've made mistakes to! You have secrets!" The male leader gave a wild grin looking at Geckodawn a bit. He could see Hollowdusk's curve into discomfort and shock. Oh yes, he knew Hollowdusk's little secret with Geckodawn. He gave a loud laugh looking at the clans, looking quite insane really. "Let's not forget Hollowdusk! Let's not forget when I was medicine cat and you---!" He was suddenly slammed down by Hollowdusk who was trying to quite him down. Mushroomstar hissed loudly quickly drawing out his claws to slap it across Hollowdusk's face, drawing blood. The feline hissed but kept the male pinned down, not unsealthing his own claws though. --

"When the gods are having a fight, everybody else better hold on tight." . Fawnstep sneered as she gazed around at the rogues and loners that had joined the clans on their journey. While she wasn't adverse to newcomers, however much food might be lost because of them, her skin crawled with anger at their willingness to ravel with the clans without becoming an official part. They stayed off to the side, stirred up trouble, and made it harder for every cat to feel safe, especially since none really felt safe anyway. Her baby blue eyes were slitted against the biting wind that blew small flakes against her relatively uncovered face. She walked almost at the head of the group, just next to Mushroomstar. . Just as she was turning her gaze to speak to the tom once again, Fawnstep heard a different and unfamiliar voice. This new tom referred to him as his old name. Mushroombelly. Her eyes widened and ears warmed as adrenaline shot through her. That wasn't a good sign at all. The molly hissed as they lunged at one another, her fur lifting along her spine. "Who are you to not address him as the leader he is?!" She yowled, claws digging at the snow beneath her feet. She was itching to fight, but she kept her calm and breathed deeply. /If I attack it'll just make things worse./ She thought, sighing and resolving to watching and waiting, just in case something bad happened. Well, worse than what was happening now.

Everything you want is on the other side of fear. White puffs of mist curled away from Frostkits maw as the young tom tightened his muscles before launching himself forward again, physically having to bounce through the snow to get to his destination. Even at seven moons, the Riverclan cat had yet to hit his growth spurt, causing him to appear more like a five month old kitten than the apprentice aged feline he really was. He could handle the teasing it brought him, but his short stature definitely made traveling through the thicket pockets of snow that much more difficult. He had to hurry, though, as the commotion going on at the head of the group was all too familiar. Frostkit didn't need to see Mushroomstar to recognize his... unusual laughter, one that often accompanied him in times of great stress or anger. If someone wasn't there to soothe the Windclan leader, Mushroomstar would continue to work himself up until he had a full-blown meltdown in front of both Clans.
"Stop it! Let him go!" Frostkit cried as he skidded to a halt next to the bickering brothers. Directing his panic-blown eyes at Hollowdusk, Frostkits instincts were to immediately begin pleading with the older tom. "You can't harm Windclans leader, it could lead to a state of anarchy! The clans have to put aside their differences, not disrespect each other!" Was Frostkit smart for his age? Yes, but without the confidence to speak up or put his words into action, it was a rather useless trait. "You aren't a Windclan cat, you should bring your concerns or disagreements to Fallenstar, not outright badmouth our leader! You're putting everyone in danger by showing an act of defiance and not working together!" 281 words

Honeybird Autumn, the year's last loveliest smile.
So here's the story so far: At some point during this winter - and one hell of a winter it had been so far - Honeybird, a former warrior of WindClan, had gone off to visit the city for whatever reason and had returned to the old barn she'd been hiding out in to find that someone - or rather, a large group of someones - had found shelter within the old wooden walls. And by the small pile of rotting mice and the plethora of pawprints in the snow, and the obvious and overwhelmingly familiar scent of WindClan, she'd known just who'd come and gone.
It didn't take long for her to catch up either. When she'd caught the caravan, they were just beginning their trek through the mountains, and the snow and ice were keeping them slow. And it didn't take much for her to blend with the group, given they'd probably already taken in a handful of rogues.
Now they were farther from the barn, and she had nearly lost all the weight she'd gained from sitting on her arse all summer long and eating mice. But her fur remained just as thick, if not thicker now that it's winter, and she'd had hidden a few dozen kittens in her coat to shelter them from the cold.
Currently she was helping a queen stay above the thick snow when a bit of arguing caught her attention. Perking her thin ears, the dark molly turned her amber gaze to the group a few tail-lengths away, her eyes immediately registering none other than Mushroombelly and the little kit he'd housed back then as leader.
Cooing a few reassuring words to the queen, Honeybird trotted over with curiosity brightening her eyes, stopping some pawsteps away with a patient smile on her maw.
"Pardons, everyone. But is everything okay?"

A large, red and white animal peered out from it's den, flicking it's bushy tail. It's orange eyes blinked and it's ears flicked slightly. It's nose was lifted, it's mouth opened slightly, as it sniffed the air. Something was coming. It slipped back into it's den, watching... waiting...
Loud yelling alerted the fox, and soon it was out of it's den, sneaking slowly towards the group. It rolled around in the snow near it's den, covering his pelt in a white blanket, not a trace of it's vibrant red fur poked out.
Waiting with it's body to the ground, the fox watched unblinkingly as the group trekked further and further from it. It's eyes were on two small cats at the back of the group, they remained a good length from the crowd, unprotected. The fox made a small yipping sound to it's partner to signify his departure. With a swish of it's tail, it leaped away from it's den and continued to stealthily creep after the group...
It's beady orange eyes were on Maplepaw. Licking it's lips, the fox let a small growl slip before plunging it's large body at the spotted she-cat. It's tiny orange eyes narrowed and a malicious smile was on it's lips as it bit into the right hind paw, drawing blood. It dripped onto it's lips and into it's mouth as it swung it side to side happily, knocking over the poor cat.

--Hollowdusk unhanded Mushroombelly who rolled back to his own paws a bit cocky at how others defended him. Hollowdusk held a calm stern look as he looked at Fawnstep and meowed "Because he has not become a leader. I know he has not traveled to the moonpool before this journey. I would have seen him go through the territory if he had. With no lives he is not a leader. Unlike Fallenstar, who has indeed earned his own lives before this trip." His thin tail swept around a little as more meowed at him in protest. Interesting how in a short amount of time they were backing up this scum bag. Naive, it was sad. His gaze shifted to Frostkit, the kit he practically saved from this beast, but now he was defending that same beast. Despite seeing what he was like, Hollowdusk did not understand it. He meowed at the kit "Frostkit. You do not understand this battle. I may have been the first to tackle, but I have good reason, reasons though I cannot share. But I did not raise a claw to him like he did to me." He then also added "It may not be my place at first, but it has escalated to being a matter I need to get involved in. It would still be better for all of us if someone who has been outside the clan borders before, lead us on." His nose twitched a little as he smelled something. Then he heard it, his head swiftly turned to see a familiar look. Foxes. The pain in his scarred up left paw suddenly came back like a memory. His mind began to recall the fox attack he had as an apprentice with Geckodawn. He quickly looked over at his wife who looked horrified at the sight of the creature too, she had a worst history with them. He yowled "Fox! Surround the young ones in a protective barrier!" He ran towards the fox that had maplepaw. -- --Mushroomstar wheezed as he got up, putting his claws away. He held a rather cocky grin at Hollowdusk's actions and backlash he was getting. Oh it felt good to see his half-brother who seemed to do everything so correctly play a bad card. Poor little Hollowdusk, had to cut him off from exposing him for lying to his wife about how many kits she had. He reacted quite interesting, he must really want to keep that a secret. Mushroomstar could use this for blackmail later. He also enjoyed seeing the blood creep down his half-brothers face. Before hand Hollowdusk would always tell him how he would never land a hit. But now he did. Even if it wasn't the fairest hit. His fluffy tail curled a little and he looked over at Honeybird and cooed at her "Ohhh its nothing Honeybird." he slide beside her a bit "Sooo nice to see you again you know, you still look lovely." Though soon enough his attention was divided to what Hollowdusk just yelled about, foxes? Really? Seriously foxes? Why would they-- Well now it was obvious. Some cats weren't squeezed together like they should be, now they were targets. He growled softly as his half-brother leaped into action. --

The winter had been rough for all animals, not just the journeying cats. That wasn't to say that the poor kitties didn't have it hard, what with traveling in uncharted territory with only a lost cat to offer them guidance. It was happened to be equally true that the animals who lived in this very forest were also having a hard time adapting to all the snow. Especially the pair of fox brothers who had never gone through a winter before.
The two foxes had grown up in this territory and they weren't about to abandon the only place they had ever known. It was simply unheard of! It was in a foxes nature to find land to claim and then protect it at all costs. The siblings had agreed to simply stick out the winter, blissfully unaware of the dangers that came with their decision.
Ignoring his brother's words, the younger male had followed closely after his brother as he followed a scent trail away from the den. Food was hard to come by, and if this odd smelling creature was smaller than them, the brothers wouldn't hesitate to strike it down. It was kill or be killed, after all, and he knew he could help his sibling. Together they walked in silence until they were close enough to spy on the group of felines.
Such tiny creatures shouldn't be a problem for the two of them, and if they were anything like bunnies they would scatter as soon as they made their presence known. The youngest fox smirked to himself as he began to droll at the thought of tonight's dinner. Sending his brother a nod, the canine began to creep in a large circle around the cats. He would allow his brother to draw the attention to himself before making himself known. He was back up, the surprise attack you'd never see coming.
This was going to be easy. 322 words

Everything you want is on the other side of fear.
Frostkit fixed Hollowdusk with a pleading look as the older tom spoke to him. While he wasn't entirely sure what had started the disagreement between the two brothers, Frostkit understood what Hollowdusk was saying and to some extent even agreed with his words. But surely being Mushroomstars brother he would know that outright arguing with him would never work. Msuhroomstar seemed to thrive off fights and rude remarks, they would only fuel his rebellion.
Truly, Mushroomstar was a ticking time bomb if things didn't go his way. He could put up a facade to appear calm and collected, but at his core Mushroomstar was as unstable as a dying star. Frostkit wanted to help his brother, to try to get through to him that he needed to practice patience if he were to continue gaining respect as Windclans leader. In order to do this, though, Frostkit had to gain Mushroomstars trust back, and perhaps defending him would be a step in the right direction.
However, Frostkit couldn't stop the defeated expression that crossed his face as Mushroomstar outright ignored his presence once he and Hollowdusk had separated. He was trying so hard to make it up to the golden tomcat, but so far the older feline had only treated him like he didn't exist like he wasn't standing right there next to him. Luck seemed to turn on Frostkit once more as he began to mourn his most recent failure, as Hollowdusk was suddenly commanding the cats around him to take action. A fox had been spotted.
Frostkit immediately swung his head around to see the snow powdered coat of a fox just now breaching their group from the rear. Frostkit instinctively took a step towards Mushroomstar before halting, a frown tugging at the corners of his lips as he realized he would not be protected if the tomcat refused to acknowledge him at all. With a renewed heartache, Frostkit turned on his heels and dove under the legs of the closest group of Windclan cats, effectively closing himself off to any harm. 343 words

It's a new dawn, it's a new day, it's a new life And I'm feelin' Good... Ash's ears pricked as he recognized a she-cat approaching him, though she didn't seem to be there for the same reason Ash wanted her to be. The smile that had crept onto his lips vanished at her first words. Dust? There was nothing but beautifully groomed fur on him! How dare she say he was covered in dust? He leaned back as she leaned forward. "Excuse me, but dust? There is not a single speck of du-" he was cut off as she continued to speak. She was sorry for him? Because she thought it looked like there was dust in his fur? What the hell?
Too flustered and frustrated to realize that the molly was coming off as threatening, Ash examined himself, wondering how she thought he had dust on his pelt. "I do not have dust on me! I'm cleaner than most of these cats! I like to have a good personal hygiene at all times." The rogue couldn't stop rambling; not that he wanted to. There was no way to stop him when he was talking about himself.
"How could you possibly think there is dust on me? This is my naturally good looks. Apparently they don't work on you." Ash looked her up and down, trying to figure out how to impress her. He had never once been rejected by a she-cat, and the tom would not walk out of this conversation with only a blow to his ego.
The gray and silver cat raised his chin slightly at her question. "Why am I here?" he echoed. "Probably the same reason as you. To get away from this hellhole of a winter and to get away from the assholes in the city." Ash had had no problem leaving his home. He had no friends, no family, no lover. He had nothing but himself. And who wouldn't want to have him?
His nose twitched at the scent of a new cat, and before he could look around, he was shoved aside, and he was suddenly in between the female and a quite large male. He looked over at the tabby, whose eyes were an icy blue that made Ash shudder. The tom listened to the other rogue speak, and he recoiled as black teeth snapped dangerously close to his mouth. Ash would be lying to himself to say he was afraid... He couldn't let himself be afraid of another tom in front of a lady. The gray-shaded bobtail was merely intimidated.
No she-cat to fill his nest? Tsk, tsk, the tom thought. This rogue is too clueless. Ash had a new molly in his nest nearly every night back in the city. Every day he'd charm one, make them think he loved them, and then cheat on them the next day. It was a constant cycle that never ended, and Ash enjoyed it more than anything. He was surprised he actually managed to get the girl every time... How the females he had been with hadn't gossiped about him. How nobody knew that he was the tom who was handsome and cunning, but a nasty liar on the inside.
"I'm here because I want to be, just like you." Ash said simply, deciding not to give the same answer he gave to the molly on the other side of him. He chose to not reply to the larger tom's accusation, as well. "The city is no place to call home. It is only a place where rogues like us can survive."
Ash watched as the dark tabby looked over at the molly beside him, and he realized that he had no idea what these cats' names were. But as he opened his jaw to ask, he was interrupted by a yowl from somewhere in the group. Who said it didn't matter, but what they said did. Ash went into a full-blown panic attack. A fox? Where? What was he supposed to do? The cat had yelled to protect the kits, but the rogue couldn't risk being seen by a cat that had the power to kick him out of the group. So Ash made a mad dash for the surrounding trees, running as fast and as far away as possible. He hoped nobody had seen him, and he prayed to whoever was up in the sky that there were no foxes where he had run off to.
The tom knew that the two rogues he had been talking to had seen where he had gone, and he knew that he would need to return eventually, but not now. He would wait awhile, staying hidden. The only thing he could do now was sit and wait, and hope nothing would happen to him. ✿ EDEL ✿

Honeybird Autumn, the year's last loveliest smile.
It was near impossible to ever expect change from Mushroombelly. So when he sidled up close to Honeybird with his usual flirtatious smile, well, it was instinct that her claws unsheathed and scratched at the snow beneath her. Oh, how I ache to scar your face until you're unrecognizable, mush brain... she thought, her eye twitching slightly.
But she kept that patient smile on her face, squeezing out a light laugh for the tom. "And you look... Healthy. I'm glad to see that the winter hasn't quite hindered your appetite." She gave him a tight, mocking smile before the sudden call of alarm sent her eyes darting towards where the fuss was coming from.
A fox had wandered too close to the cats - two, actually - and Honeybird's first instinct was to jump in with the warriors, surrounding all the kittens and queens on the inside. Her dark fur bristled, her amber eyes tuned in on the threat.
It had been so long since she'd fought an actual enemy. But she'd honed enough of her skills enough to not be rendered useless, thanks to the old tom who stayed with her. She still had speed on her side, but thanks to Blue, she had enough strength too. And, StarClan help her, she couldn't help but smile at the excitement of fighting alongside warriors again, even if they were a little - okay, a lot - worn thin.

death doesn't discriminate
Fern had not smelt anyone coming up behind them, had not felt any eyes on her. Maybe it was because she was so focused on the tom in front of her, maybe it was because she was loosing her touch. It didn’t matter, anyway, all that mattered was she nearly jumped when Direstrait shoved himself against Ash.
Surprise flitted over her thick features for a brief second before being masked with a cold expression. Her eyes ran up and down the tom with no expression. Definitely rogue. How many rogues had joined the clans? A lot, by the look of it.
She wasn’t afraid of him, in fact she found him amusing. Just another one of the brutes that ran around the allies. She was neither a player or a pawn but she couldn’t help the mocking purr that fell from her lips.
”It’s understandable if your jealous that he has any amount of she-cats in his nests, I’m sure you don’t get any offers with those teeth of yours” The black fangs definitely creeped her out slightly but nothing showed on her face. She definitely didn’t have a good vibe from this new cat, but an interesting one… and she was intrigued.
”Being a she-cat myself I can assure both of you that I’d rather fuck a kitty-pet” Her thick tail was waving back and forth lazily. She had no intention in becoming friends, or anything close to that with Direstraight. ally was a better word and she was definitely playing around with the idea.
Her attention was drawn back to the blubbering idiot of a tom, unimpressed at what he was saying. ”Most of these cats could kill you, gut you, skin you and take your precious pelt” her words weren’t threatening, just an idle suggestion for him to shut up. As he looked her up and down she felt a flicker of rage. She’d had her fun over the moons as a rogue but she hated toms like Ash.
”Just because you wanted to get away from the assholes in the city doesn’t mean you were allowed to bring it to the clans” She didn’t even sound angry, she just sounded disinterested. However, she didn’t try to hide the pure, raw and deadly anger in her gaze. Such an off-putting difference, her voice and gaze. Also very dangerous.
When he replied to the toms question Fern had an urge to squash his face into the snow and watch him suffocate but she had sacrificed too much to show her nasty side over a tom she found annoying. She wasn’t surprised when he ran off at the warning but she was surprised at the lack of panic from the clans. Had they lost their touch.
She glanced at Direstraight before turning away ”If you want to be all talk no show, that’s fine… But if you want to prove your not just another coward follow me, big boy” She then raced after Hollowdusk.
Even though she was bulky and big she managed to kick up a hell of a storm as she sprinted towards the fox. When she reached Hollowdusk she didn’t look at him as she yowled ”Someone get a medicine cat” She didn’t hesitate to throw herself towards the fox. She felt no fear but a thrumming in her veins. A killing calm had frozen any emotion even close to fear and she was ready.
Foxes were bigger then cats, yes, but they were also like them. She lunged towards the foxes hind-legs, a thick paw extending as she swiped it towards the tendons. Power was pushed behind the slash but she had no clue if it had even gone through the fur, she didn’t know much about how to fight a fox.
”Come get me, little whore” she purred at it, eyes glinting as she stumbled away from it. ”You don’t want to eat that tiny skin of bones, do you? You want to eat a big cat like me” One of these stupid ass cats better jump on the fox while she tried to distract it.
