we were careless, we were reckless, time was precious
young and so bold, we'd never get old Enough walking! Enough split paws and aching legs! Otterkit was beside himself with self-pity, his eyes filling up with tears. Where was Vipernose? She needed to fix this now! She was deputy, she could easily get them new territory. The kit stormed up the hill, shoving past cats with ease. At the start of this journey he would have been trampled by these cats but after continuous walking he had bulked up as much as a young man could.
Otterkit wasn’t exactly a baby anymore, he was a couple moons past since he should have gotten his apprentice ceremony but he was okay with that. Being a kit was much more fun, and it meant everyone looked after you! The tabby had not got the memo about the emotional moment, not even glancing at Mushroomstar as he streaked past. His tongue rolled out of his mouth in anguish, his head butting against the back of Vipernose’s leg. ”Vipernoseeeeee!” He meowed out in a whiny voice, his broad face glaring up at her.
Then he finally caught onto the vibe and his ears perked up in curiosity, the dampness around his eyes ceasing to swell. ”Hang on a minute, what am I missing out on?!” His tone was rather demanding, expressing just how fed up he was. He snaked in between her legs casually, squinting down the hill. Once his orange hued gaze landed upon the haven they had marched upon he let out a high pitched squeal.
”OH YES, NO MORE WALKING” his vocal cords pinched together into an unnaturally high pitch as his pounced forward with a wriggle of his hips. Standing in front of Vipernose he threw her a contemplating look. Before she could realise that he was considering doing something he shouldn’t, he decided to go for it. The tom grinned at her, his fangs glinting in the sun ”See you on the flip side, Viper” and with that the kit kicked his hind-legs into the air with a victory whoop, thundering down the hill.
His body was nothing but a blur as he stretched his paws out as much as possible, his cracked pads slapping onto the ground. Nothing could ruin his moment as he dashed through the lush grass, dirt spraying up in his wake. All the aching in his bones forgotten as the river rushed up to meet him. He flew over the small pebbles and twigs dusting the riverbank, landing with the tips of his toes meeting the water.
Breathing heavily he stared at the water, looking at his reflection. What meet him was no longer a scared, hopeless kit but a strong, hopeful boy. Without another thought he sprung into the water, hitting the water with an impressive splash for a tom his size. Otterkit couldn’t swim but he felt safe in the water.By pure pure luck he had sprung into the part of the river with a bank running across it, little current dragging at him and it not being deep enough to drown.
After a few seconds without heart-wrenching panic Otterkit dove under the water, letting the cool liquid seep into his thick fur. This was his home. Not Shadowclan, not Windclan but this. In the water, everything serene and calm. Even Riverclan never popped back up he would be Riverclan. He liked Shadowclan, yes, but it was not his true home and if Otterkit was ever lucky enough he’d be able to go back to where he belonged.
For now he was perfectly content gripping to the riverbed with the water rushing around him, popping back to the surface only when his lungs begged for breath.

`♚ B L U E P A W♚ words . tags ♚It was all like a dream. The territory in front of her too good to be true. If someone had told her that this was what she would be blessed to raise her kits in, she would have scoffed in their face and told them to stop being so damn wistful. Bluepaw was wary as she stared down upon the territory, keeping all her hopes in check. It may look good but who knows, it could be infected with badgers or something disgusting like that.
”We should send patrols out to make sure the lands aren’t already inhabited” the blue she-cat was mainly talking to herself, all the other cats beside themselves with joy. Bluepaw was already over this. Sure it was better then she had expected, but it wasn’t perfect. She wasn’t about to bow to the ground and ‘thank starclan’ for leading them here. Until they surveyed the territory Bluepaw wouldn’t celebrate, and neither should anyone else.
Any cat who looked at Bluepaw would see a face that was completely calm, no emotion apart from a brush of annoyance. She wasn’t about to fall head over heels over something they had just came across. With her back facing the majority of the cats she could safely look down at her swollen stomach with a sigh. It would be useful if this was the territory. She was close to kitting and some deep primal urging was telling her something was wrong. The constant vomiting and harrowing cramps. She hadn’t voiced her concerns to anyone because they would probably treat her like a kit, tell her nothing was wrong and it was normal. Normal wasn’t leaving a trail a vomit from the snow to here, was it?
With the influx of prey everyone was perking up a bit more but Bluepaw couldn’t keep anything down but the smallest nibbles. She just wanted these bastards out of her stomach so she could rest without a massive stomach to curl around, and to actually eat. The clan better calm down soon and find somewhere to set up camp so she could force these kits out of her.
For now Bluepaw simply sat down with a tired huff, resting her head on her paws and closing her eyes, letting the sun soothe her limbs.

Blue was still carrying Whitesparrow on his back with a grin but stopped as he saw Bluepaw resting on her paws. Concerned He looked up to Whitesparrow before padding over to Bluepaw and started to groom her.

We are all stones, all different shapes and sizes. Separated we are nothing but rocks, but together we can soar to new heights creating our own
tower
Eyes watched from afar, yet still so close. These were visitors it seemed. They looked very weak from their journey to this new land. Some were thin to the bone. Could this be a blessing from gaia herself? These could be new recruits in their mist. But then again it was possible it wasn't what he hoped. His eyes glanced at the many cats behind him. Guards had saw this group of cats from miles due to how large they were and low they were compared to them. Yet these cats didn't seem to know they were on their land. No signs of cats smelling them at all, which was good. The Towers had been great at masking their scent with the lavender that grew in their domain. The unknown tom's green eyes glanced upward towards the trees where his scouts were perched watching the group of cats.
Interesting this group was, clearly big but not that united it seemed. Yes he could see right through them that many did not get along. Unlike the Towers who had a family like bond with him. Perhaps this wasn't one big group but a bunch of little ones sticking together? It was possible. That or it just had a lot of cliques. What really got the toms attention was all the kits and young adult felines with this group. Valuable indeed. The Towers could use some fresh blood. A pair of yellow eyes slithered next to the green eyes, fur pressing on fur and a very seductive purr rumbled from the yellow eyes throat. "What's your plan savior?" cooed the female voice. The green eyes meowed back with a smooth alluring voice that was all too much like a lovely lullaby "Friendly. These could be our new pals after all...New stones to add to our tower...Stay out of sight for now....We don't want to scare them...A scared cat can get very aggressive fast. We will address them as our guests until we learn more about them...Now why don't you go meet them? You have a way with men after all." The female gave a seductive purr again, rubbing herself on the male before waking off away from the group to meet these new cats.Friend or Foe? A rather beautiful coal colored female feline made her way out of some bushes, her fur was a bit messy but her appearance was all too stunning despite that. Her eyes were relaxed and inviting as she made her way towards the clan cats. While she looked so relaxed she was taking in every movement around her, every cat she called she began to count each of them. She wanted to know just how big this group was. She was happy to meet them half way through their walk into her territory. Her tail lifted up as she gave a seductive look to the leaders of the group, though she kept her distance from them out of her own safety and a form of respect. She finally meowed, her voice like velvet to most males "Welcome to The Towers, my name is Spider, who might you all be?" She dipped her head and body a bit. A real wild card

I said hey look Ma, I made it.
Oblivious to the cats watching them, Owlscreech had continued to race down the hill, his whiskers quivering as the warm air rushed up to meet him. He was aware that his Clan was following him- and even more aware that Otterkit had broken off from the group and was now heading in another direction. Owlscreech shifted his weight so he bore down on the balls his feet, his body swiftly skidding to a halt as his mint eyes trailed the young kitten as he dived into a nearby river. A small smile grew on the older toms face as he realized the young Shadowclanner was in no danger of drowning but remained comforted in the fact that Vipernose would likely rush forward and haul the kitten back onto dry land. The two had grown very close over the course of the Journey if the fox attacks of a few moons ago was any indicator.
As Owlscreech watched Otterkit, however, he was suddenly met with a realization. Otterkit was no longer a kitten, was he? The golden stripped tom had grown quite large over the course of the journey, and even though they were all underfed and exhausted, Otterkit still sported visible muscles in his legs. No, Otterkit was likely overdue for his apprentice ceremony, just as Bluepaw was overdue for her warrior ceremony. Swinging his gaze to glance in the direction of the redwood forest, Owlscreech realized just what returning home would mean. He would have to be a real leader, and that involved making sure apprentices were named on time and had a suitable warrior to mentor them.
Just as Owlscreech was shifting his gaze back to his gathered clanmates, the tabby tom caught sight of a shape approaching them from the distance. His eyes immediately narrowed as his head snapped towards the black tabby who walked towards them... alone. Parting his jaws to drink in the scents around him, Owlscreech felt the fur along his spine begin to rise as the pungent smell of unfamiliar cat-scent flooded over him. It was everywhere. They had unknowingly walked into some cats territory.
Raising his tail high in alarm, Owlscreech let out a loud yowl to inform the cats around him that they had a visitor. He stalked forward, his muscles tensed as he silently signaled for his Clan to group together and be ready for anything. Whipping his head to the side, Owlscreech called out for his two high ranks to join him, and even shot a glare to Mushroomstar and Fawnstep, too. While he was not fond of the Windclanners by any means, they might need the strength of both Clans if a fight were to break out. The only thing they knew about these cats was that they were well fed, while the Journeying cats were tired and starving. Owlscreech showed nothing but confidence in his stance as he kept several tail lengths between himself and Spider. His eyes were narrowed, calculating, as he listened to the she-cat introduce herself, and her group. They were fucking rogues. It always had to be rogues.
"I am Owlscreech, leader of Shadowclan." The tabby tom meowed cooly, unwilling to delve too deeply into who he was or where he came from. "We've traveled down the mountain when the winter became too strong," He explained, his long tail flicking behind him where the peaks of the mountain greeted the sun. "and we plan to settle in this area. How much land do you claim?" It was an honest question, though Owlscreech knew in his heart that nothing the she-cat said to him would stop him from laying down his roots in the surrounding forest. Four clans had lived in a small area for generations, and now that Riverclan and Thunderclan were gone, Shadowclan just might receive new neighbors. "I'm sure we can work something out," Owlscreech meowed with one of his signature smirks.
Owlscreech would not allow his Clan to suffer a homeless life any longer. 664 words

Spider's voice put Blue in a trance as he padded slightly closer to the source, "What is the Tower exactly?" He asked twitching his tail. He shook his head very confused by what is going on.

Whitesparrow
"Can you see, even without the light?"
Whitesparrow was happily walking until her weight was off her paws and a 'oof' released from her, she was on someones back. Not a random cat but Blue's back. This had caught her by surprise but she honestly couldn't argue that it wasn't nice to get off her sore pink paw pads. Thus she didn't. Her paws lightly held on as she was literally swept off her feet and carried around.
Confusion hit her however once Blue moved away from Bluepaw and unknown voices hit her ears. Something was odd.. She tried to look towards the unknown vocals as her eyes squinted but only to make out a decent detailed figure. They spoke of something called.. The tower? She grew a tad uncomfortable when Blue got closer to it which made her paws curl around the tom's pelt more. These were strangers so who could be so comfortable? It could have been the issue of her surroundings being hard to see that made her more uneasy then the rest.

Where will the road lead? Mushroomstar wasn't sure what was happening he, still wasn't exactly feeling his same self. When a very charming she-cat came forth he just stared at her but he didn't see much of her. He rubbed his head a bit, he felt drunk really like he wasn't seeing straight. He grumbled a bit and walked backwards a bit forgetting to even introduce himself he instead hissed "Fawnstep! All this lavender smell is clogging my senses can you come guide me a bit unless its affecting you too?" He didn't know why this lavenderscent was so damn strong it was intoxicating almost.
The coal colored feline pursed her lips in a seductive friendly way, her eyes remained ever so relaxed, as she had nothing to be afraid of. It seemed these cats might be civil enough, not savages like other groups that dared come here only to be exterminated or reformed one by one. The youngest looking leader introduced himself while the other was looking at her like she wasn't there which was very rude indeed. She was a spectacular in beauty yet he looked at her like she was an empty void. Perhaps that fatter tom just wasn't having a good day, lets hope.
Her attention gazed over the cat known as Owlscreech. She gave a welcoming and alluring purr to the young tom "A pleasure to meet you Owlscreech of Shadowclan, what a fine name. I myself used to be named Spider that spins webs, perhaps our ancestors are connected in some form?" She always tried to relate herself to enemies, it was a good way of getting close and on friendly terms. After all her savior wanted them to be friendly to their guests. She listened contently to the short story of what this group of cats had been doing the past few days or moons it seemed. Though hearing they planned to settle here almost seemed passive aggressive. This was not their land to claim, but considering the savior was planning to be friendly perhaps they could come to an agreement. He was after all a very generous cat. She let the male completely finish before replying to him "We own the land you stand on and all around us. I would say the city nearby us is like a border. We expand a lot and have for the pass couple of moons." She could hear a cat call out what her group was and dipped her head to Owlscreech "If I may I would like to address that question before pursuing the last question you asked." she looked at the cat that called that out. He seemed to be under her charm which was pleasant maybe she could have fun with these new cats later.
She meowed "The Towers are a religious group that have found their home here. We are a very large group of cats with a belief in the earth god Gaia. We have many rituals and celebrations here and are lead by a feline known as Radio. If you are interested in more we will all be happy to mingle with you." Perfect, this group might be able to be recruited if other cats were interested like this one. Radio made the right call to be friendly. She then looked at Owlscreech again "Radio believes you are his guest here, I'm sure you two can work something out, he is quite generous. Would you wish to speak to him? He is nearby after all." A real wild card

Whitesparrow
"Can you see, even without the light?"
The she-cats ears flicked towards each word that was said.. a different group? They had a different god? This was strange for the she-cat. She had slowly got use to the clan's accustoms so this other information was strange. Honestly nothing really made her feel comfortable, it seemed like a friendly introduction but.. she was practically blind and there was a group of cats. It was like when she ran into a clan all over again as a apprentice.
When the mass under her started moving closer again to the source. Her claws dug in more as her frame tried to shrink. "Stop getting closer to them, please" She meowed into his ear with her sweet vocals but they hinted her nervousness. She would mutter a "Blue" Before grasping his ear and pulling back on it like reigns of a horse trying to get them to stop. She could try to get off but knowing her she would probably fall, causing a awkward situation and she didn't understand why this tom was acting like this so stopping him would be nice.

I said hey look Ma, I made it.
As the familiar voice of his half-brother meets his ears, Owlscreech immediately shoots the tom an angry glare. Who did he think he was, meowing in a sweet tone to a rogue who very well might try to chase Shadowclan off? Did he care for Bluepaw and Owlscreech so little that he was willing to- Owlscreech felt his glare disappear and promptly be replaced with confusion as he noticed the she-cat riding on his back. It was one of the newer arrivals, if he remembered correctly, though he hadn't had the chance to meet the molly yet. As one would expect, Whitesparrow looked terrified as Blue continued to inch his way closer to Spider, acting like a love-sick idiot.
A long sigh fell from Owlscreechs lips as he did his best to hide his irritation at his kin. "Blue, if you're going to flirt with another she-cat, at least sit the one on your back onto her paws, for God sake." It was meant more as a playful jab, as Owlscreech had no idea what sort of relationship his brother had with this she-cat, but his irritation made it sound more like a callout.
Spiders flirtatious voice had Owlscreech turning his attention back on her, one brow raised as she mentioned ancestors and tried to tie them together somehow. "I don't think so, sweetheart," Owlscreech meowed, "My rogue name was Tao, and I've never heard of this 'Spider That Spins Web' shit before." He listened intently as the she-cat brought up her boards, and a look of disgust briefly flashed across his face. There was no way in hell he would settle his Clan in the city- but he bit his tongue. He knew he couldn't outright demand this cat give him any land, he didn't know what numbers these rogues had. He had to be careful.
As Spider continued speaking, Owlscreech couldn't shake the feeling that this she-cat was acting weird. In no way did she have to answer to him, yet it seemed as if she was conditioned to taking orders from another. This went beyond a Clan cat having to follow orders given by a leader or deputy, this was more like... having to have permission before speaking. "... Sure?" Owlscreech responded, his tone echoing the bewildered look on his face. What the fuck was happening? First Mushroomstar goes dancing through the hills and now this? Speaking of Mushroomstar, Owlscreech flicked his gaze over to the golden tom. That fat idiot seemed to be stumbling around like he was as high as the clouds that drifted lazily over their heads. He was barking something at Fawnstep, seemingly oblivious to the fact that they had even stumbled upon another group of cats. With an inward groan, Owlscreech rolled his eyes. Was he supposed to babysit Windclan now too?
As Spider began to explain a little about her group, Owlscreech noticed movement out of the corner of his eye. It was Blue again, his stupid brother was advancing on the she-cat like she was the brightest star against a black sky. The poor she-cat on his back was clinging to him for dear life and yanking on his ear to try and get him to stop. Feeling his chest swell with anger, Owlscreech marched right over to Blue and stomped his foot on the toms tail, effectively trapping him in place. "Cut the shit, Blue," the tabby hissed into his half-brother's ear. "You're scaring the daylight out of Whitesparrow, and as your brother I'm telling you to stop looking at this weird bitch like she's the love of your life. You had your fun being a rogue, but you're a Shadowclan cat now. Act like it." Despite the anger that could be seen in Owlscreechs eyes as he looked at Blue, something else was there too. An unwillingness to lose his brother for the second time, perhaps. Turning his back to the russian blue, Owlscreech put his full attention on Spider. He had a big decision to make since Mushroomstar was too busy complaining about the thick lavender scent hanging in the air to act like a leader.
"We do not want to mingle," Owlscreech responded promptly, he was sure this was one thing every cat apart from his idiot brother could agree on. "Our Clans simply want to find a place where we can rest our paws after our long journey, and we intend to find that here." He took a few steps forward, his eyes scanning the horizon behind Spider as if he expected to find more cats hidden in the bushes behind her. "Unfortunately, city life isn't suitable for Clan cats. We require space to run and hunt our meals. We do not eat human trash." Narrowing his eyes slightly, Owlscreech looked Spider up and down. "If Radio wishes to meet us, we will comply. After all, we really should say hello to our new neighbors, shouldn't we?" 821 words

Blue yowls in pain as his tail was stomped on and thrashes, his eye pupil returned to normal as he looks up to a terrified molly who he still cares deeply about and then at the face at his irritied but caring brother and...his leader. He bows his head and whispers, "Thank you Owlscreech I owe you two now." He said as he looks up and nuzzles Whitesparrow, "I'm sorry about that...there's sometime about that Spider molly...keep your guard up." He said feeling the pull again but tries to resist.

Whitesparrow
"Can you see, even without the light?"
Whitesparrow was concerned as she got the toms attention for a moment before he was back at walking towards the she-cat. Oh how she didn't know what to do which made her so glad when Owlscreech stepped in and helped snap the tom out of it. A large breath of relief released from her as her cranium settled upon his coat. Claws eased while he listened to the toms vocals, that was scary..
"Thank you, Owlscreech" She murmured her thanks for him giving her a paw in stopping him before giving him a light nudge with her snout "Lets.. Lets just back away from her, hm? It feels uncomfortable near her" Whitesparrow meowed softly in his ear. Whatever was with that she-cat, they should get away from her. She did hear owlscreech mention 'neighbors' which she knew meant it was conformed they were settling down here.. but they had cats like this around. It felt unsettling but perhaps if they got to know them they wouldn't be so unsettling? As long as more don't act like Blue just did around them.

` ♚ B L U E P A W ♚ words . tags ♚ Bluepaw didn’t appreciate the clan streaming down the hill and had debating not even going but then then spotted a figure slinking towards the clans. The blue molly was on her paws in a second, scrambling down the hill with her belly flinging from side to side. Even going as fast as she dared she only managed to arrive in time to hear Owlscreech telling the molly they could work something out.
Hell no. The clans hadn’t walked for moons and moons in the snow to slave for territory. As she pushed and shoved through the cats to storm to her brothers side. Fucking bitchy ass whore wasn’t getting shit from her clan. Looking at her perfect features and her seductive tone made her want to puke, and Bluepaw did gag in her direction. Couldn’t she keep her mind off seducing toms for two seconds? Anger and disgust coursed through her from a source she couldn’t identify. All Bluepaw knew was she wanted to take the dark she-cat by her face and slowly scour her claws through her skin.
It also seemed to be affecting Blue in a different way, a way that made her gag again. Spider wasn’t even focusing her attention on him and she was making him swoon. Someone needed to put her in her place and it seemed that Owlscreech was taking the passive-aggressive path, so she could take the aggressive path.
With a growl she stalked forward, her long tail flicking back and forth. ”Shut. The. Fuck. Up.” she hissed, unsheathing and sheathing her claws. ”I did not walk for moons on end to be escorted around by a whore who can’t keep her legs shut.” She strode even closer, the cobalt eye that wasn’t wrecked with semi-healed scar tissue narrowing. ”I don’t give two fucks about your group, hell, if all the she-cat’s walk around smelling like a trash-eating rats then you should be humiliated”’
”Strength comes through hard-work and sweat, not priming yourself up to become someone’s fuck toy - not that anyone would want your fake ass - and trying to seduce cats who could very well rival you.” She snorted slightly, only just getting started. ”Our ancestors aren’t fucking related you twat, we aren’t gold-diggers. We are here to claim this land, one way or another and if you think we won’t fight just because you try spinning your ‘web’ around us, then think again”
At this point Bluepaw was ripping the ground to pieces, hissing and growling at Spider. ”We don’t want your dumbass leader to try fucking convert us. Hell, we don’t give a fuck about your religion. The only mingling the clans want with you is shredding you to fucking pieces” Even if some cats tried calming Bluepaw down, that wasn’t about to work.
”And stay the fuck away from my brother. We don’t want your ugly ass kits plaguing the land.” she then gave her a sweet smile, contrasting with the disgust floating through her eyes ”Oh wait? None of the toms in ‘The Towers’ want anything to do with you? Not surprised, sweetie” The blue feline then took a few moments to replenish her parched mouth, working up a wad of spit to aim at Spider’s face. No one fucked with her clan or her brother and got away.
